They haven't done much of anything, physically tough does not equate to mentally tough..

Still think a trade is still possible, but as it stands now the Sharks are not as good as the 2013-2014 version (on paper).

The only conclusion I can come to is the addition of John Scott is supposed to make Thornton and Marleau consider waiving their NTC's...

hannan is a great dman to have for depth is someone gets injured he'll probably be sitting most games in the press box
better to have him there than a young player

WOOO let the rebuild keep rolling...getting younger by the minute.......

DW should have never said its time to rebuild. Saying we need to get younger well you can sorta accomplish that by letting Boyle go, but he has his foot in his mouth right now saying its rebuild time and not having been able to move much of anything.

Hannan was signed as a 7/8 Dman to mentor the younger ones. Not as bad of a signing as you indicate.

Now we know it means signing as many goons and talentless hacks as possible

Well put Franklin

Sheppard is the same age as Wingels and is still a young player so I think re-signing both makes sense. It's the Brown, Scott and Hannan signings that have made no sense and taken away 3 spots from younger guys to compete for. Right now unless we bury a vet the only spot we really have is a 2nd or 3rd pairing left handed d man.

Michael Haley was added on a one-year contract, and will likely spend a majority of the 2014-15 campaign in the NHL.

I think you might have meant AHL here.

I almost feel sorry for Sharks fans. Why does Doug Wilson still have his job? A year ago he signed Thornton and Marleau to 3-year, $6+ million contracts with no movement clauses. These contracts haven't even begun yet. And now he finally sees what the rest of us have known for years: You can't win with those guys as your leaders. The coaches stripped Marleau of the C to give it to Thornton, and now they're going to strip Thornton of it.

And the "good" signing this off-season is locking up Wingels for his 3 RFA years for $2.475 million per year? He's played about two full seasons and is averaging 12-18-30. But hey, the guy has potential. But that's what the RFA years are for, to figure out where that potential goes. If he's signing for that much, at least a year or two of his UFA years should be included.

Well, it was nice seeing all you chompers at the Honda Center. I guess I'll be seeing you again in a few years, when your team gets good again.

Am I the only one that wants to start our 4th line, on the first game of the season against LA?
